ISABELA DIGGS
Lutz Preparatory School, 6th Grade
Isabela Diggs is a young, passionate storyteller in Tampa, Florida. She started her journey in fifth grade as one of the key members of the School’s Announcement Team. There Isabela shared videos and interviewed both students and adults to keep the school informed. It was in this program that she uncovered her excitement for informing the community of events taking place. Her role in the announcement team also sparked an interest in media and journalism and led her to audition to become part of the Girl Scouts MediaGirlz Team and the Press Pass team in Tampa.
As a first-year MediaGirl, she’s finding comfort both in front of the camera and behind the lens, and her enthusiasm shines through each and every time. Isabela’s future interests include a career in sports journalism and becoming an advocate for children and cancer. She sees an opportunity to make the world a better place by assisting those who do not have a voice in their community. When Isabela is not in school or volunteering, you can find her at the beach, camping out with her Girl Scout sisters or spending quality time with her family and friends.

ABIGAIL HENNESSEE

She is also very active at her local church where she volunteers with two and three-year-old children, helping the teacher to carry out her lesson plan.
Abigail’s enthusiasm also extends to the classroom. She has recently been accepted to the National Junior Honor Society where she’s completed community service including fundraising for breast cancer research. She is also a Spanish One Honors student and is speaking basic Spanish and improving her comprehension skills every day.
When Abigail isn’t doing these things, you can find her on the tennis court. She spends two to three days each week practicing, and recently took home first place in a competition played in the 16-year-old and under division.
